Just returned from an 11-day stay in A-305. The place is beautifully kept and most everything has been recently upgraded. The location and beach are wonderful and with only about 50 units, the beach area never gets cramped and there are always enough chairs for everyone – not sure why anyone thinks they need to get up at 6 AM to save their chair with a towel but some did anyway. Owners Ann and Joe are super nice and a pleasure to work with. Property manager, Larry is great too- always working to keep the ground nice for everyone. This unit had a fabulous view and they thought of everything – really helped to make our vacation great. We had a small issue with the pull-out sofa and they were immediately responsive and Larry was able to come and fix it. Owner Ann even called us to follow up to make sure we were happy. I have stayed in Wailea and Kaanapali in the past and this was the best beach area so far – also conveniently located not far from Lahaina’s Front St. There is a lot of noise from the street in the bedroom as it is on that side, but I suspect every condo complex on this road has the same issue. The owners are kind enough to supply ear plugs for those that want but we just dealt with it – small price to pay for paradise. I have a foot disability and the elevator worked well for us,as well as ease to walking to the pool area. There are 3 small steps down to the living area which were very easy to navigate and a railing to assist. There are stairs to access the beach itself but otherwise no issues at all for me. Location -check, views – check, apartment upkeep and beauty – check, owners easy to work with – check. Highly recommend!

This was our third visit to unit A305. We love coming back here for many reasons. The location is close to Lahaina yet, it is tucked away on the ocean front above Kaanapali and away from all the big hotels. We love to be able to just take a few steps and have our own pool, jacuzzi, grassy area and beautiful beach available. There is never a crowd and there are plenty of lounge chairs, so no need to reserve them! The view from our unit is the best and we love sitting on the lanai watching the sunset.
The unit itself is so welcoming and comfortable. We love the open bathroom and the newly remodeled kitchen with a convenient counter and bar stools. There are easy to follow instructions for the TV, the appliances and the general rules for a stay at Hale Mahina. Ann and Joe Wlad, the owners, are very responsive and have been so helpful to us to in making renting this unit very simple. They keep the unit well stocked with toys and items for the beach/ hiking and snorkeling.
There is a caretaker who lives there and whenever we had any questions, Larry was able to help us. He and his wife are very friendly!
There is plenty of open parking and there are several small places to eat in walking distance. In addition there is Maui Brewery, which was one of our favorite hangouts. The only negative thing may be that the bedroom is on the street side and the traffic can be heard, especially in the mornings. However, the bed in the unit is very comfortable and we get the best sleep when we stay there.
I would highly recommend Maui Sea Shell Condo and know that my husband and I will be back soon! Aloha!

Reviewing options for our first trip to Maui, and for a “milestone” birthday, I wanted somewhere we could use as a homebase for our activities but would also give us the option of being able to really feel relaxed and comfortable when we were there.

Hale Mahina is definitely it, and specifically, this condo! Walking in, it looked *exactly* like the pictures — everything was immaculate and there are no better views than out on the lanai! All the other reviews basically say the same thing — this place is even better in person than what you see in the photos!

We were even pleasantly surprised — we had stopped at the supermarket on the way there to get some basics and found many of them already there as thoughtful touches when we arrived. The kitchen is great for when you want to eat in, and the lanai looking over the grounds/pool/ocean were magnificent. It really looks like a postcard! Everyone we interacted with there, from the resident manager, to a few fulltime residents to other guests — were very nice and all were friendly and laid back.

There’s an elevator which is awesome and will help those with limited mobility. However, be aware that I think all units in this complex have three steps down to the main living area (but they are very wide and our unit had a railing as well, which was very considerate). I’m not a senior (yet!) but having a dad who’s starting to slow down with walking, I notice these things wherever we travel and this unit would have been fine for him to navigate with the wide hallways, the step in shower and open flow throughout the condo.

The location can NOT be beat. Less than a mile away is the Farmer’s Market where we quickly got addicted to fresh coconuts and acai bowls. There’s a handy folder with all sorts of menus and the owners’ recommendations that was fun to look through as well. Lahaina is less than a 10 minute drive away, and we were usually there once a day to just grab one of our meals or wander, or hit up Island Cream Company for some fantastic dessert.

Typically, we scheduled one activity a day, then would come back to the condo to just sit and stare at the water and listen to waves, or go into the hot tub and pool. Even at this time of year, the ocean wasn’t too bad, and you get used to the pool being a tiny bit chilly when you first go in. ???? Being from the East Coast both were still warmer than what we’d get in the Northeast in the summer!

From the lanai we even saw whales on the few mornings we thought to look for them and there were turtles 8 of the 10 days hanging out on the beach at some point during the day. We were there for 10 glorious days and hope to go back!

Working with the owners was easy and fuss free and they have been fantastic in all our communication with them. I can see why the condo and this property get great reviews. Thank you SO MUCH for having such a gorgeous well maintained property! Mahalo!!!!

We found this to be just the perfect beachfront condo in an ideal neighborhood location! The view from the balcony is fantastic.
During the day we swam and snorkeled right off of the property’s private beach (we used the snorkel equipment provided in the condo). When we weren’t in the surf, we enjoyed the pool and the lawn area. We did it all.
You’re within walking distance to moped rentals, surf shop, farmers market and day spa. But several mornings and evenings, we just relaxed with breakfast or happy hour on the balcony, gazing at the ocean with the calming sound of the surf.
Upscale restaurants are a short drive away in Lahaina and Kaanapali, or the condo’s new kitchen makes it easy and enjoyable to cook any meals you want – like dinner while watching the sunset from the balcony.
We’ve stayed in the big Maui hotels in years past, but it’s a really nice change of pace to stay in a nice condo in this peaceful setting. Would highly recommend for my friends and family. The owners have thought of most everything you need for a really great vacation.

A305 – Maui Sea Shell Condo at Hale Mahina is truly a slice of paradise! From the oceanfront view to the well-decorated and well-appointed furnishings, it is truly perfect in every way. The property itself is unique as it has a pool, lawn area and the beach all literally steps from the balcony. Ann and Joe are the consummate hosts, doing whatever they need to do to make your stay more enjoyable. We rarely left the condo and the grounds as we had the best view and we enjoyed cooking-in and relishing the lovely sunsets every night. An added treat was the frequent visits from the sea turtles in the late afternoon. I would highly recommend this for couples or friends for any occasion. We can’t wait to return!

Amazing home away from home

Ann and Joe have made the Sea Shell Condo a perfect getaway and home away from home. The newly renovated kitchen is another great addition to this already wonderful condo. The condo is well stocked with body boards, beach chairs, snorkel equipment and a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to make your vacation fabulous. The view of the ocean and surrounding islands sitting on the balcony is breath taking. We watched countless turtles swim by and beach themselves on the beach and they will be memories my family and I will never forget. Hale Mahina itself is a gem the grounds are looked after and there are many chairs to set up on the grassed area and catch some sun.
Thanks once again Ann and Joe love, love, love the Sea Shell Condo and can’t wait to plan a return trip.

Very well-maintained property!

This is a great condo property. The owners have done a wonderful job updating this unit. The new kitchen has new everything; Appliances, Countertops, tile floors, ceiling fan, peninsula bar……The sunset views from the lanai are incredible! Sea turtles came up on the beach right in front of the condo. We went during whale season and saw whales from the lanai. This complex has plenty of shopping and eating within walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners are a delight and very accommodating! Thank you!

Perfect condo and great location

Luckily we loved this condo as we stayed five weeks. Easy and safe to book. Awesome owners Joe & Ann. Accurate photos. Very comfy, clean and well-maintained. Beautifully decorated with an ocean/beach/hawaiian theme. New kitchen. Comfy king size bed and pillows. Wash and dryer was a plus for us. Very good internet connection. Direct oceanfront and beachfront with a pool view. Loved the rainbows, turtles, whale watching right from the Lanai. So peaceful. Constant ocean breeze and wave noise. Clean pool was cold but the hot tub was always hot. Beach towels, boogie boards and snorkel gear provided.

Free parking. 10-15 min walk to stores, farm market, gas station, restaurants.

Only negative was the traffic/street noise on Lower Honapiilani Rd. Ear plugs are provided but still a struggle for light sleepers. Otherwise this condo and location was absolutely perfect! We will return!

One of the best at Hale Mahina

We have stayed in several of the condos at Hale Mahina over the years. This is one of the best. It has been nicely updated with all the amenities. Lovely view and very comfortable furnishings.

We love Hale Mahina and were lucky to find the Shell Condo! The hosts are honest, accommodating, and are doing a beautiful job keeping their condo up to date and lovely. The ONLY place to stay in Maui!!!!

Every time we go to Maui this is the place! Best locale, best beach, super snorkeling. Easy access, great facilities. Best sunsets you could ever find. The owners are super helpful and the place is well maintained and appointed. All you need is a swimsuit and a smile…………….

Excellent!

Our stay was all we could have asked for. We are very Thankful for such great owners who were helpful and quick with responses to our inquiries, emails and phone calls. We had a wonderful and relaxing time! The condo is clean and the private location on the beach is great. You can cook, use a food processor, blender, do anything in the kitchen with exception of spin lettuce and clean the glass mirrored back splash. (No glass cleaner and a salad spinner for lettuce:))The bedroom is close to a main road and to resolve this, the owners have a jar of earplugs! But…You can hear the ocean waves hitting the beach! Our ears were very pleased! The King sized bed was superbly comfortable. As promised by the owners no air conditioning was necessary. The onsite manager is always working and keeping the grounds very clean and fresh. He is very friendly. We loved the views, ocean, beach, turtles, grounds, location, cleanliness, pool, helpful binder put together by owners about Maui. We were on a working vacation and could not have asked for more. Thank you to the owners again and again!

HAWAIIAN WEDDING ON THE LAWN

GREAT CONDO! SUPERB VIEW! BEAUTIFUL BEACH! We were here to attend a beautiful wedding on the lawn and beach. Couldn’t ask for a more beautiful spot. Watched sunrises and sunsets from the lanai. Gorgeous sunset for the wedding and wedding dinner. The sea turtles were amazing to watch. Maybe next time we’ll go when the whales are passing thru. We couldn’t be more pleased with the condo. Very nice furnishings and comfortable bed. Slept very well. The owners put together a very helpful binder full of information and we used it. We would rent this unit again without hesitation.

Excellent Stay! First Timers To Hawaii!

Let me start by thanking the owner, Ann, for making the booking process a breeze! Ann was quick at responding to email inquiries, and extremely helpful throughout the booking process and during our stay. Could not have asked for a better experience. The pictures accurately depict the condo, which is absolutely gorgeous. The view from the balcony is spectacular. The boogie boards and beach chairs were a plus! Everything you need in terms of cooking utensils are present. tip for using the charcoal bbq – add a lot of charcoal we made theven mistake of not adding enough and it took a long time to cook our chicken. The only downside to the condo is the roadside noise at night. Earplugs are a great idea if you have any. Don’t worry about not having air conditioning, the winds are constant through the day and night, keeping the place very cool. The location of the condo in relation to other beaches is perfect! we were less than ten minutes away from Kàanapali beaches and a five minute drive from Napli Bay beach (both of which we highly recommend). Ann also accommodated a late checkout request which was awesome, as our flight home was just after 9pm. Thank you Ann for opening your vacation home to us. It was an excellent introduction to Hawaii!

Amazing honeymoon!

This was a fantastic condo for my wife and I on our honeymoon. The view cannot be overstated! We stopped at the Costco in Kahului when we got our rental car, and stocked up on food for the week. The drive from the airport is beautiful and not too long. The unit is very clean and well appointed. The large slider stayed open most of the time we were there, and the sound of the ocean was worth the trip! We are an adventurous couple, so we spent our days traveling all over the island, and our nights cooking and relaxing at the condo. The location is convenient, with Ka’anapali and Lahina very close by. We stayed in a hotel on Kauai after staying here, and we preferred this condo! If we are lucky enough to make it back to Hawaii, we will definitely come back to this unit![hr]

Great Beachfront Condo!

This is a really nice place. It is very apparent that the owners care a lot about their slice of paradise. We woke up to the sound of the ocean each morning and usually a sea turtle came on shore every afternoon near sunset. Without leaving this complex, we were able to paddle board, snorkel, blow a conch, and see turtles swimming near the shore. And also did a lot of whale watching from the lanai. Oh, and the sunsets were unbelievable! The condo itself has all the necessary amenities which allowed us to dine in most nights. There is also a great farmers market and local cuisine within walking distance. Again, we want to thank Ann and Joe for allowing us to enjoy their Maui Sea Shell Condo!

SUPER PLACE

We agree with the other rave reviews of this home. Beautiful, fully furnished unit, nice owners, great complex with elevator, nice beach and calm ocean with gently sloping sandy bottom. We were blown away when we arrived, went out on the lanai and saw and heard the ocean practically below us. Lorrie is sensitive to traffic noise but slept well with the white noise from the supplemental fan provided in the bedroom.

MAUI VACATION

Condo was very nice. It had all the comforts of home, but with a much better view. Everything we would have needed was provided. Very well equipped. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen was very nice and well equipped. Plenty of towels including beach towels. Bathroom was very nice. Must have been recently updated. Washer & dryer provided in the condo was very convenient. All in all a very pleasant place for a vacation in paradise.

Just as presented.

Great time, great location, great condo.

The Condo was very accurately described in the information. The photos were right on. We were very happy to see how well maintained and clean the unit was. Even to the lights being on to greet us.

Then to look out and “there is the ocean”. right there. And that first evening a BIG turtle came right up on the beach and stayed for an hour or so. Like “Welcome”.

We had a special request and it was handled without a problem. All the communications were right on and really there was no questions we needed to ask.

The three ring binder they have put together is awesome. Activities, three price list of food places (description and ratings by the condo owners, who were right on), catalogs for activities, maps. It was all there. We especially liked “Maui Adventure Cruises” for whale watching. They also do all the other type trips. Amazed how many repeat customers were on the trips. They are not big boats. Good size rafts. My wife gets motion sick real easy. The rafts close to the water worked much better than bigger boats where you are much higher above the water. Plus the smaller group on the raft (20-25) were ready to cooperate and work together so everyone got to see the whales no matter which side you were one. Actually had a mommy and baby come all the way out of the water together on their tails. Guessing we were within 50-100 feet of them.

Farmer Market store is easy walking distance. Fun place. Outdoor Farmer’s market in same location three days a week. Lahaina 10 minutes to the south. Take out food to die for, and stated so in three ring binder, close enough to walk to.

Finally the water. You are high enough (third floor) to basically see over the lawn and people below you. ( I am talking 10-20 people at the most) At one time I counted five sets of waves coming in at the same time. then come fun cross waves. You could watch the water all day.

There is a little street noise, especially during the day, that can be heard when in the bedroom, but not when you are in the kitchen, living room or on the lanai.

In the morning guests were surfing, watching whales, walking the beach, snorkling. It was really cool. And compared to other places, there is a really nice sandy beach, then closer to the unit there is the lawn, pool and spa. IN the evening groups were BBQ together.

You can’t miss with this unit and with the nice owners.

Amazing view of the whales from the lanai

Sitting on the lanai now watching the whales. This place is amazing and everything we hoped for. I am a flight attendant and stay in nice hotels and eat out all the time. My husband and I wanted someplace quiet where we could sit out and watch the whales and cook our own meals. This condo was perfect! We really appreciated the quality of everything from the new bathroom to the high end coffee maker, etc. They even have a book with suggested restaurants and activities and cd that we used narrorating the road to Hana. We tried the Paia Fish Market as the book recommended and it was awesome! We are sad that tomorrow is our last day here, but we will be back. Thank you Jo and Ann for sharing your special place.

Paradise

My husband and I stayed in beautiful Maui for a week and loved every minute of it. We felt like we were in paradise. The apartment had all we could ask for and more, the view was spectacular, the weather perfect everyday. We will definitely come back and stay in this apartment, it didn’t disappoint. It was clean, well maintained, accurate in it’s description regarding location and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a holiday in Maui.

Beautiful Beachfront Maui Sea Shell Condo!

We had a wonderful week on the sunny island of Maui. We really enjoyed staying at the Sea Shell Condo it made the week so perfect. The condo has everything you need for a fun Hawaiian vacation. The condo has soft blue beautiful walls and decorated with update furnishings. The condo is right on the beach which is so wonderful. We enjoyed all the snorkeling gear and in their cove saw beautiful fish and turtles everyday. We took some award winning photos right on the condo grounds with the amazing hybrid hibiscus flowers and the terrific sunsets.

The condo is so centrally located, close to Lahaina and Kaanapali beach lots of shopping close by. We enjoyed all the amenities of the condo used the cooler for a picnic lunch on the road to beautiful Hana. They even have a really cute CD to take on your ride to Hana to tell you about the hot spots to stop at. The condo has a great pool overlooking the ocean that we enjoyed twice a day!

There is a great fish market less than a mile away get there before 5 and you will get some great local fish! Enjoy your meal on the lanai and watch the terrific sunsets every night!

An amazing Maui vacation destination

We came for a nice relaxing stay over the holidays and were so pleased to have stayed at this special condo! Everything was above and beyond what we had imagined and expected. Such a clean place with great amenities in a very peaceful environment! The location was perfect – not crowded at all (like many Maui condo locations) and very relaxing! The view of the beach from the Lanai was breathtaking and the beach on the property was great – we loved spending time there swimming, relaxing and watching sea turtles come to shore – very magical indeed. Ann and Joe were great with all communications and went to great lengths to make sure all our needs were met. Highly recommended – will be back for sure!!

Maui Sea Shell Condo is the BEST!!

We love Joe and Ann’s Maui Sea Shell Condo!

They have put so much thought and care into anticipating every need for their guests. There was plenty of kitchenware for us to enjoy home cooked meals most evenings on the lanai while listening to the gentle rumble of the ocean. We really enjoyed the openness of the newly remodeled bathroom. It looks great! The condo is conveniently located near shopping, eateries, and local ambiance.

The manager, Larry, keeps the grounds in excellent condition. He was very helpful and informative.

The condo has one of the few sandy beaches in the area, and in the waters right off the beach, we used their snorkeling gear to watch the fish and turtles swim. This vacation was very special to us because it was our 20th anniversary and we could not think of a better place to celebrate it. We highly recommend this wonderful slice of paradise to anyone.

In Paradise with the Whales

What a lovely surprise when we arrived to see Ann and Joe’s perfect “home away from home”. The condo has stunning views of the ocean, Lanai and Molokini and of course at this time of year the whales. We just couldn’t believe how many there were. Many hours were spent just enjoying the magnificent views from the lanai. The gardens and pool area are very well maintained and certainly during our stay the barbeque area was a very friendly social place to watch the sunset. You even get visits from Green Turtles who come to feed around the rocks and later bask in the sun on the beach.

The condo is very comfortable and well appointed. The kitchen has everything you could possibly want to be able to cook in. The bed is excellent and very comfortable, the new sofas just perfect for a relaxing evening, and the remodelled bathroom has a lovely walk in shower. The owners have tried to think of everything to make your stay as good as possible and it is a very nice touch that they make contact to ensure that everything is going well.

We had a fantastic two week stay and would like to visit again. We would definitely recommend this as a place to stay.

30th anniversary

My husband and I were married in Lahaina 30 years ago and we were looking for a quiet place with all the bells and whistles that Maui offers such as: sunsets, ocean view, pool and beach. This home fulfilled all our wishes. We hurried home most nights just to catch the sun as it disappeared in the horizon. The location was perfect and we were able to investigate the island easily from our home away from home. We can’t stop thinking about our vacation and are looking forward to returning as soon as possible. We would highly recommend this location for anyone who want to visit Maui.

lovely Nov. visit

Stayed at the Maui Sea Shell condo for 10 days this past November. Its location is excellent with easy access to several small shopping areas, Whalers Village, the bustling town of Lahaina and the golf courses of Kaanapali & Kapalua.

The condo faces directly out to the ocean with wonderful views of Lanai and Molokai and fabulous sunsets. The sound of surf is a lovely constant and the visits from the green sea turtles a treat. The private sandy beach in front of the condo is easily accessible, a bonus along the often rocky coast of W. Maui. The owners provide snorkeling gear & bogie boards. The pool, BBQs and nicely manicured & maintained lawns are a great meeting place with the other visitors or residents.

The condo is very well appointed with all the amenities and many extra touches such as seasonings & condiments in the kitchen. The bathroom has just been recently renovated and now has a lovely walk-in shower. It is a very comfortable & homey place to either relax in or to use as a base for multiple activities. The owners have tried to think of everything to make a stay easy and comfortable and are very helpful and attentive .

Definitely would return and would recommend this condo to friends.

Fabulous get away vacation

My husband and I took this last minute vacation and booked this condo trying to avoid the standard hotels and have a more local experience. This experience has exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we opened the door and saw the breathtaking view and the private beach. The generosity of the owners is present in all the details: the gourmet kitchen, the excellent shape of the furniture, the fancy binoculars, the high end TV, the snorkeling gear at our disposal (we saw turtles today — although we will save using the equipment for another visit since we are urbanites at heart) and the high speed internet. The location is extraordinary, quiet and peaceful. The grounds are extremely well maintained, and the other guests are quiet. The place exudes privacy and relaxation.

Great relaxation

My husband and I had an amazing relaxing vacation at the Sea Shell Condo. It was exactly what we hoped for: quiet, very comfortable (just like being in our own home), right in front of the water, amazing view of the sunset everyday. We wanted a place to relax, to not do much all day, and this place was it. We came back rejuvenated and recharged. Really, what a treat. We loved how close it was from civilization but at the same time tucked way and if all you wanted to see was the ocean, there it was right in front of you all day. The sound of the waves is with you all the time. Lovely! There were actually a couple of days that we spent in the condo all day, reading in the lanai or on the comfy sofa, and didn’t feel we were missing out on anything. Ann and Joe thought of everything. I loved that they had board games and all the beach/picnic/snorkel gear is available. It’s worth mentioning that it’s possible to do away without a car if you’re not the explorer type, since there are groceries in Honokowai within walking distance, unless you want to go to adventures farther way or to Lahaina. We had a car and it was helpful. But we walked to the little center of the Honokowai area many times. Oh, the mango trees and flowers along the way. What a treat. Note that there is a grocery called “The Farmers Market” within 5-10 min walk where they have all things natural and organic (which is my habit), so we loved that. The farmers market happens also outside 3 times/week, worth noting. It was our first time in Maui and we absolutely loved! The vibe in Honokowai is lovely, so laid back. The folks at the condo area were also nice and friendly, we got acquainted w/ some during barbecue/sunset “happy hour”. The condo is well furnished, kitchen has it all, as well as the rest is very comfortable. I also miss watching the turtles come out to breath from the lanai. It was like meditation; they were there everyday. Thanks Ann and Joe. Hope to be back soon!

Hale Mahina A-305 is the BEST!!!

We want to thank Joe and Ann, the new owners for making our stay at their condo in Maui one of the best ever. Ann was very prompt in answering all our questions about their slice of paradise. A-305 has great views of the beach and ocean. It really is right on the beach. Every day from the balcony we saw many majestic sea turtles basking on the beach, humpback whales breaching, pec slapping and fluke displays. Most days, we also saw kayakers, surfers, and outriggers. Larry, the manager, keeps the grounds in fantastic shape and is very helpful and informative. We enjoyed taking lots of pictures of his hybrid hibiscus, bird of paradise, papaya and other colorful delights. This condo has one of the few sandy beaches in the area with a small reef and this allowed us to use the provided snorkelling equipment to see many fish including trigger, needle fish, goat fish, spotted box fish, moorish idol fish only a few yards off the shore. On one such trip, I was emotionally and spiritually overwhelmed when two sea turtles swam along side me. It is also an excellent beginning surfing area. Ann and Joe have an ample amount of cookware so we saved money by cooking at the condo. A-305 is conveniently located near shopping and local cuisine. My wife was mesmerized during our trip to the Maui Ocean Center at Maalaea. It was well worth the price. Other enjoyable day trips included the lavender fields, Haleakala, and strolling through old Lahaina. Our days ended with unbelievably beautiful sunsets. As our nightly sunset ritual giving homage to the gods, my wife blew the conch shell four times – once to the north, south, east and west. We plan to come back to The Maui Sea Shell Condo for many years to come.

Hale Mahina Maui Sea Shell Condo Unit A-305

We have been visiting Hale Mahina Unit A-305 over the last 20 years and found the unit this time to be the best thus far!!! Many improvements have been made (New couch, paint, bedding, etc.) and the view is why we keep coming back, it is breathtaking!!!! There were always turtles moving around the bay and the whale activity was again spectacular!!! My appreciation goes out to the owners Ann and Joe; who make an extraordinary effort to make sure all is going well with our stay!!!!!!

Fabulous Maui Retreat

Maui’s Seashell Condo is a little piece of paradise. The location is both convenient and peaceful. The condo is nicely furnished, the paint seems to be fresh, and the carpets particularly clean. My husband and I love to read in bed and appreciated the night tables with suitable reading lamps. The bed itself is unusually comfortable. Ann, the owner, has thought of many small details. Not only is there snorkel gear available, but also frozen gel packs for the insulated picnic bag–which makes packing food for beach adventures a snap.

Late Honeymoon and first time to Hawaii Success!

My husband and I were both very happy that we picked Hale Mahina among all the properties available in Maui. It was a great home away from home while we explored and relaxed during our special time away together. The property is in a great location and was so quiet and private yet not far away from the action. The view from this unit was spectacular. It was so welcoming everyday after playing on the beach to come back to the calming sound of the ocean waves and the sights of sea turtles eating in the surf. We traveled in January and viewed several whales from the Lanai as well as the amazing experience of swimming with spinner dolphins at the nearby cove, Fleming Beach.

The condo had all we needed and was very comfortable. I am a very light sleeper and was awoken a few times over the week by voices or noises from the street as the windows were open in the bedroom. But my husband never noticed and overall we slept quite comfortably. Ann was so very helpful with everything and gave us great information on how to save money and explore the area for whatever mood or budget we had. I hope we are able to visit again and would seriously consider renting this unit again. We met a couple of the owners who lived there year around as well as few were vacationing and everyone was beyond lovely. We visited a different beach/area everyday and continued to agree we were very happy with our choice to stay at Hale Mahina, away from the large, noisy and busy properties in the nearby areas.

We chose to buy food and pack lunches and eat most meals at the condo to save money. The kitchen was well equipped and the BBQ’s were burning each night so that we could throw on the steaks and pineapple, taking turns with others. I did look at a different unit there that was having an open house in Building B and my comment there is that the Lanai is quite private in this unit. The privacy was nice while trying to enjoy a lazy breakfast or a romantic dinner. I think you will find that Ann will go over and beyond to make your experience all that she can.
